Small Town

My small town fits
in a large box
of copper and wires.
Faster than a gigabyte
each rushes to my page
for the latest
relationship status,
fashion dysfunction,
offspring mistake,
or professional affront.
Our front porch
lit by LCD
and firewalls
allows us to see
even the darkest discretion.
The corner store
stores the mores
for future flinging
of digital mud.
We provide
gossipy fodder
for likes and licks
as we look each other in the i-
phone.
What we know
becomes what you show.
It's a good thing
we're friends.
